Petitioners herein seek quashing of FIR No. 1357/2015 dated 21.12.2020, registered at P.S. Amar Colony, under Section 406 IPC, along with consequential proceedings arising therefrom, based on compromise arrived at between the parties. 2. Respondent no.2 was married to petitioner no.1 on 28.06.2012 as per Hindu rites and ceremonies. 3. It is submitted that another FIR was also registered bearing No. 85/2014 at P.S. Dumra, District Sitamarhi, for commission of offence under Section 498A IPC as well as under Sections 3, 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. Admittedly, the abovesaid case resulted in conviction, fact remains that in view of the compromise, even the said proceedings stand quashed by the High Court of Judicature at Patna in Criminal Revision No. 101/2021 vide Signature Not Verified Digitally Signed CRL.M.C. 222/2026 1 By:SONIA THAPLIYAL Signing Date:14.01.2026 11:01:17 order dated 23.08.2022. 4. The parties have, even, obtained a decree of divorce vide judgment dated 28.06.2021. 5. Parties are present through video-conferencing and the Court has interacted with them. 6. Upon query to respondent No.2, she submits that she is a a practicing Advocate and has entered into the settlement voluntarily, and without any undue influence or coercion. She further states
