The petitioners have preferred present writ petition inter-allia with the following prayer:- "I. to issue an order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent Sub-Divisional Officer, Tehsil- Kerakat, District- Jaunpur, to decide the Suit No. 20071436529 of 2007 - (Ram Narayan Versus Sastish and others), under Section 229-B as expeditiously as possible and one who within some shortest possible time frame as possible by Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper under the facts and circumstances of the case. II. to issue order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding respondents to maintain status quo in the nature and possession both." 3.
