Facts in brief as contained in the writ petition are that the petitioners who are landless villagers were allotted certain lands in the year 1977 by the Gram Sabha. pursuant to the aforesaid, petitioners are in peaceful possession over the land in question and a report has also been submitted in their favour by the Settlement Officer of Consolidation on 26.06.1997. In the proceedings initiated under Section 198(4) U.P. Z.A. & L.R. Act, the allotment of lands in favour of the petitioners were found valid by the Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Bulandshahar vide order dated 24.07.2006. The aforesaid order was challenged by the private respondents by filing revision and subsequently order has been passed by the authorities cancelling the patta given in the year 1997. 2.
