HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD LUCKNOW WRIT - C No. - 2056 of 2026 Rajesh .....Petitioner(s) Versus State Of U.P. Thru. Prin. Secy. Deptt. Urban Development Lko. And 3 Others .....Respondent(s) Counsel for Petitioner(s) : Ashutosh Srivastava Counsel for Respondent(s) : C.S.C., Ram Kumar Singh Court No. - 1 HON'BLE RAJAN ROY, J. HON'BLE ABDHESH KUMAR CHAUDHARY, J. 1. Heard. 2. On the basis of the work order issued to the petitioner as claimed on 29.04.2020 for running a community kitchen during some period of Covid-19 Pandemic, claiming unpaid dues this petition has been filed in February, 2026. 3. If a suit was to be filed for recovery of dues/money, limitation for it would be three years. Even if benefit of Covid-19 Pandemic is given, the limitation would stand extended only till 15th of March, 2022 in view of the direction passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Suo Motu Writ Petition (Civil) No.3 of 2020. Even from that point the petition is highly belated. Now if a suit is filed, apparently, it would be barred by limitation. Nothing has been brought on record to persuade us to take any other view of the matter. 4. We, therefore, are not inclined to entertain the petition.
