The case of the writ petitioner is that in the Collectorate, District Prayagraj, there are 7 posts of Administrative Officer, 1 post of Senior Administrative Officer and 1 post of Chief Administrative Officer. According to the writ petitioner, though he was initially appointed on the post of Junior Assistant on 07.10.1989, however at present, he has been accorded promotion on the post of Administrative Officer in Collectorate at Prayagraj on 29.05.2023. The next post for which the writ petitioner seeks promotion is the post of Senior Administrative Officer/ Chief Administrative Officer.
