The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as a Constable Driver in the year 1984 and was promoted to the post of Head Constable Driver in the year 2018. It is stated that in the year 2020, on account of certain medical ailments, the petitioner was medically unfit and was reverted/adjusted to the post of Constable. Since his grievance regarding continuation/promotion was not being considered, the petitioner earlier preferred Writ Petition No. 17599 of 2023, which was disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to consider his claim. 3. It is further submitted that as per the seniority position, the petitioner was entitled to be considered for promotion to the post of Sub-Inspector from the cadre of Head Constable, but the same has not
