Heard Sri Sheetla Sahai Srivastava, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Gaurav Singh, learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondents. 2. The case of the petitioner is that he was initially appointed as a Cane Clerk on 15.12.1976 and was thereafter promoted to the post of Cane Supervisor on 13.07.1989 and superannuated on 31.12.2012. According to the petitioner, the entire period of service rendered by him from 15.12.1976 to 31.12.2012 is liable to be considered for the grant of retiral/pensionary benefits. 3. Learned Standing Counsel submits that the claim of the petitioner is required to be examined in the first instance by respondent no. 4. 4.
