This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed seeking a direction to respondent no.5 to initiate appropriate inquiry about the letter of respondent no.4 about the illegal exchange of plots dated 12.01.2024. 2. A perusal of the petition indicates that a wholly cursory representation dated 28.02.2024 inter alia indicating that the villagers are not satisfied with the consolidation proceedings, was made. Whereafter, apparently for two years, no steps have been taken and now, suddenly, the present petition based on the said cursory representation of February 2024 has been filed seeking the relief as indicated hereinbefore without even producing the letter dated 12.01.2024, reference whereof has been made in the prayer clause. 3.
