This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioners seeking restraint against the Deputy Registrar (Stamps), Kaptanganj, District Kushinagar to levy 2% additional stamp duty upon the vendees for the registration relating to purchase of land situated at Mauja Basahia @ Kaptanganj, Tehsil Kaptanganj, District Kushinagar. 2. A perusal of the petition indicates that the petitioners essentially are aggrieved against the recovery of 2% additional stamp duty from the petitioners on the ground indicated therein. 3.
