Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State. 2. The present writ petition has been filed challenging the propriety and validity of the impugned order dated 08.09.2023, passed by the respondent no.3-District Magistrate, Gorakhpur in Case No. 3958 of 2022, Computerized Case No. D2022053100003958, titled State v. Jai Narayan Yadav, under Section 17(3) of the Arms Act, 1959 and order dated 23.12.2025, passed by the respondent no.2-Commissioner Gorakhpur Division, Gorakhpur in Appeal No. 1498 of 2023, Computerized Case No. C2023050000011498, under Section 18 of the Arms Act, 1959. 3. In brief, the facts of the case are that the petitioner was granted firearm license No. LN33590A7AD9719/3171 Jangaha/GKP for pistol .32 bore 130145. The license was valid up to 22.06.2026. In respect of the license of the petitioner, a report was submitted by the Station In-charge Police
