The petitioner has challenged the cancellation of his caste certificate after 27 years by the Tehisildar without giving opportunity of hearing to him. Notice was served to the petitioner at his village address, whereas it was known to the Tehsil authorities that he was working in DRDO, Bangalore. 3. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that when he was eight years old, he was adopted by one Gopi Chamar and all his educational certificates i.e. High School and Intermediate show that petitioner to be the son of Gopi Chamar.
