Heard learned counsel for the petitioner(s) and Shri Ramesh Chandra Pandey, learned counsel for the respondents. 2. The solitary grievance of the petitioner(s) is that the amount of Rs. 96,000/- has been directed to be released in favour of the claimant(s)/petitioner(s) by the impugned award of the Railway Accident Claims Tribunal dated 17.02.2026 is inequitable, unjust and grossly inadequate. It defeats the purpose of award of compensation in a railway accident. 3. A perusal of the record reveals that in a railway accident occurred on 15.03.2023, the petitioner(s), suffered fatal injuries. Arising therefrom, the petitioner(s) instituted a claim petition in the year2023, which has been decided on 17.02.2026, almost 3 years after the occurrence of the accident.
