The instant writ petition has been preferred praying inter alia for the following relief: "i-Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no. 5, Chief Engineer, Public Works Department Gorakhpur, District Gorakhpur to pay compensation to the petitioner for land taken in widening of Harpur Bhiti state Lane/state Highway entering about 3.5 meter in Bhumidhari land of the petitioner bearing Gata no. 2112 area 0.1390 hectare situated in Village Budhat, Tehsil Sahjanwa, District Gorakhpur. ii-Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no. 2, District Magistrate, Gorakhpur to conduct the inq
