By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner is challenging the order dated 29.8.2012, passed by the respondent No.2 contained in Annexure-1 to the writ petition. 3. Factual matrix of the case is that the petitioner was appointed as Assistant Teacher in Government Model College, Sultanpur in the pay scale of 400-620 in the year 1982 by the order of Deputy Director of Education IX, Region Faizabad and the petitioner joined the college on 7.12.1982. On 2.2.1987, the Government of U.P. fixed the pay scale 450- 720 in pursuance to the order dated 22.5.1987 passed in Writ Petition No.602 of 1985. The selection grade was fixed at 620-820. 4.
