Present writ petition has been filed by the Union of India, which is aggrieved by the impugned order dated 10.11.2025, by which the respondent no. 1 has been given Night Duty Allowance taking the enhanced grade pay of Station Master to which the respondent no. 1 became eligible from 01.01.2016 after the 7th Pay Commission recommendations. 2. It is not disputed that the respondent no. 1 was drawing his salary on the Grade Pay of 4200/- from 01.01.2016 as Station Master, while earlier before that date, he was an Assistant Station Master working in the Grade Pay of 2800/-. It is also relevant to mention here that the Night Duty Allowance that he was drawing as an Assistant Station Master before 01.01.2016, was calculated on the Grade Pay of 2800/-. 3.
