By means of present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for quashing of the order dated 31.12.2025 whereby his candidature for the post of Constable in respect of Civil Police Recruitment, 2023 has been cancelled on the ground that petitioner acquitted by the District Court in the event of witness turning hostile. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that Sashikant had lodged a First Information Report (FIR) being Case Crime No.0857 of 2022 under Sections 147, 148, 149, 427, 447, 511, 452, 307, 323, 504, 506,354, 354-B, 395 of the erstwhile Indian Penal Code, against nine named persons and 30- 40 unnamed person in the said criminal case have stood finally acquitted vide judgment and order dated 02.08.2025 passed by the Chief J
