By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner is challenging the order dated 28.5.2010, passed by the respondent No.2 (Annexure-1), whereby the claim of the petitioner for the appointment on the post of Block Development Officer has been rejected. 3. Factual matrix of the case is that the petitioner was appointed on the post of Gram Sevak on 5.1.1969. He was promoted on the post of Assistant Block Development Officer in the year 1998. A seniority list was published on 11.3.2002, wherein name of the petitioner does not find place.
