By the impugned judgment, the learned Reference Court upheld the apportionment of compensation made by the Land Acquisition Collector, whereby 20% of the total compensation assessed in respect of the acquired property commonly known as “Vivek Cinema”, situated at Patel Road, Delhi was awarded to Respondent No. 2 (the Union of India through L&DO Department, in its capacity as lessor), and the claim of the appellants to recover that share was rejected.
