The captioned appeals have been filed by the Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Central-1, against a common judgment and order dated 18. 2. The basic question which is involved in these appeals is, as to whether the Assessing Officer (AO) was legally justified in taxing the rental income and capital gain arising out of properties owned by the company in which respondents were the shareholders. 3. Shorn of unwanted details, the facts relevant for the present purposes are that on
