The accused/applicant, allegedly involved in murder seeks interim bail for 30 days on the ground that he has to undergo medical treatment for psychiatric illness. But the material on record, including the documents filed by the accused/applicant show only that he is addicted to alcohol, and that too, as was on 20.04.2023. Thereafter, there is no medical record in that regard. Rather, the status report filed by the jail authorities before the Court of Sessions (page 69 of paperbook) shows that there is no serious illness suffered by the accused/applicant as alleged.
