The present petition has been filed under Article 227 of the Constitution of India, assailing the impugned order dated 15th January, 2026, passed by the learned Trial Court in CS DJ No. 64/2018, whereby the right of the petitioners/defendant to cross-examine PW-1 has been closed. 3. Learned Counsel for the respondent appears on advance notice and accepts notice. 4. Heard. Record perused. 5. Learned Counsel for the petitioners has argued that PW-1 is the material witness of the case and petitioners have not been given sufficient opportunities to cross-examine him. Per Contra, learned Counsel for the respondent has argued that sufficient opportunities have already been granted by the learned Trial Court to the petitioners to cross-examine PW-1. The present petition has been filed only to delay the Trial Court proceedings. 7. A perusal of the record shows that three opportunities have already been granted to the petitioners to cross-examine PW-1.
