The instant appeal under Section 54 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 has been filed by the appellants for enhancement of compensation awarded by the Reference Court against the impugned judgment and award dated 3.8.1991 passed by the IXth Additional District Judge, Ghaziabad in L.A.R. No. 303 of 1989 (Raghuveer and others vs. State of UP and others), whereby a compensation @ Rs.50/- per square yard along with other consequential benefits admissible under the Land Acquisition Act has been awarded to the land owners.
