The instant first appeal under Section 54 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 has been filed by the land owner against the award and decree dated 16.10.2017 passed by the Court of Additional District Judge, Court No.13, Meerut in LAR No.163 of 1992, Ved Prakash (dead) through LRs & others vs. State of U.P. and others, whereby the compensation awarded by the Collector at the rate of Rs. 50/- per sq. yard for the acquired land situated in Village Nagla Tasi, Kasimpur, District Meerut, has been upheld. 3.
