The instant appeal has been filed by the landowners under Section 54 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, seeking enhancement of compensation against the impugned judgment and award dated 13.02.2009 passed by the Additional District Judge, Court No.1, Ghaziabad, in Land Acquisition Reference No. 69 of 1991 (Surendra Singh vs. State of U.P. and others), whereby the reference preferred by the landowner for enhancement of compensation was rejected on the ground that similar LAR No.136 of 1991 had also been dismissed, and accordingly the compensation awarded by the Collector was upheld. 3.
