It is submitted by learned counsel for the applicant that the applicant is a Junior Engineer and is being prosecuted for taking alleged bribe of Rs.20,000/- and has been caught on the spot by the trap team. Recovery memo has been prepared at the police station i.e. at the distance of about 4 kilometers from the place of incident. The recovery memo has not been prepared on the spot. The applicant has been falsely implicated in the present case. The maximum sentence provided under Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act is upto seven years.
