It is submitted by learned counsel for the applicant that the applicant is Village Development Officer. It is alleged that the applicant has demanded illegal gratification of Rs.20,000/- from the complainant. Thereafter, the complaint made a complaint and a trap team was constituted. The applicant was caught red handed with Rs.20,000/-. The recovery memo was not prepared on the spot. The applicant has been falsely implicated in the present case.
