Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Standing Counsel. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioner has prayed for quashing of the order dated 26th March, 2025 and 29th May, 2025 passed by Disciplinary Authority as well as Appellate Authority. A preliminary objection has been raised by learned Standing Counsel regarding maintainability of this petition on the ground that the petitioner has an alternative efficacious remedy of revision before the competent authority under the relevant provisions of Rule 13 of Uttar Pradesh Police Officers of the subordinate Ranks (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1991.
