Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the records. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for following relief as substantial relief: " Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.3 to consider the compassionate appointment of the petitioner on the post of ward boy under UP Recruitment of Dependents of Government Servant Dying in Harness Rules, 1974 in accordance with law." It is argued by learned counsel for the petitioner that the father of the petitioner while serving with the respondent's establishment died on 22nd March, 2024 and consequently petitioner has moved an application seeking compassionate appointment on 12.06.2024 and the same has remained undisposed of.
