By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for following substantial relief: "(i). issue a writ, order or direction, in the nature of mandamus directing and commanding the respondent authorities to immediately make the payment of 50% of the salary for the period of 5.10.1999 to 21.10.2016 (about 12,71,972/- rupees) alongwith interest." Learned counsel for the petitioner states that in above regard petitioner has already approached the authority concerned for consideration of his claim by means of a representation dated 1st March, 2025 which has remained pending till date.
