By means of present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for quashing of impugned orders dated 28.7.2022 passed by Additional Police Commissioner, Kanpur Nagar and order dated 12.3.2024 passed by Police Commissioner, Kanpur Nagar. Learned Standing Counsel has raised preliminary objection as to the maintainability of this petition on the ground that petitioner has alternative efficacious remedy of revision under the U.P. Police Officers of the Subordinate Ranks (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1991. Learned counsel for the petitioner does not dispute the above legal position.
