By means of present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner wants a writ of mandamus to command respondent no. 2 to consider the request of the petitioner for posting him at Bareilly as his wife is currently posted there as Senior Prosecution Officer. It is contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that as per transfer policy dated 6.5.2025, petitioner's request for posting at the place of his spouse can always be considered. He further submits that the petitioner's wife suffers from 50 per cent physical disability. He submits that in the above regard, petitioner has already made application on 14.7.2025 before competent authority, respondent no. 2, which is pending consideration.
