By means of present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for following relief: "Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 2 to consider and decide the claim of petitioner in respect of grant of the benefit of Third Assured Career Progression in his favour forthwith and accord the consequential arrears with interest and further to correct the Last Pay Certificate accordingly, in case the petitioner is found suitable for the same."
