By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has prayed for quashing of the order dated 7th July, 2025, whereby his candidature for the post of constable pursuant to the U.P. Police Direct Recruitment-2023 has been rejected only on the ground of pendency of criminal case arising out of Case Crime No.- 235 of 2023 under Sections 323, 504 and 506 of the erstwhile Indian Penal Code. 3. It is contended that petitioner has disclosed the pendency of criminal cases on affidavit filed before the respondent inasmuch as petitioner has now been discharged of the offences under Sections 323, 504 and 506 of I.P.C. vide order of Judicial Magistrate, Sambhal on 9th July, 2025.
