By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution petitioner has prayed for a writ of mandamus to command the respondent No. 2 to take a decision in the matter of show cause notice issued to the petitioner on 13.08.2025 to which he had already submitted detailed reply on 25.08.2025 and reminder thereof again on 04.09.2025 but no decision has been taken. 3. Learned Standing Counsel has obtained instruction in the matter which is taken on record. From the instructions it transpires show cause notice was given to the petitioner that criminal case now pending against him under Section 363, 366, 376 IPC being Case Crime No. 279 of 2006 in which the punishment prescribed is more than seven years, however, he does not dispute that final decision has not been taken in the matter.
