Heard Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Dwivedi, learned counsel for petitioner and Shri R.S. Umrao, learned Standing Counsel. 2. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution petitioner has prayed for a direction in the nature of writ of mandamus to command the respondent No. 2 to consider the claim of petitioner for compassionate appointment on account of death of his father in harness on 06.06.2022 while he was working with respondent's establishment. 3. It is contended that petitioner's claim for compassionate appointment has remained pending consideration at the end of respondent No. 2 ever since the application was moved on 30.10.2023 and the delay has resulted in sever injustice in the matter and is certainly defeating the very object behind the rule of compassionate appointment. 4.
