Police Department under the ex-servicemen quota ever since his appointment on 23.05.2019 wants that his previous service rendered in Army may be counted towards pensionable service against the post of Constable in the department concerned. It is submitted that the controversy with regard to computation of period already rendered by ex-Army personnel for the purpose of pension has already stood settled by judicial pronouncement of this Court in the case of WRIA No. 13504 of 2025 2 Hans Nath Dwivedi v. State of U.P. and Others in Writ - A No. 32139 of 2007 decided on 21.10.2010. 3.
