Heard Sri Rahul Mishra, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents. 2. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner has challenged the order of minor punishment dated 25th July, 2025 imposed by the disciplinary authority as well as the order passed by the appellate authority affirming the said order. 3. Learned Standing Counsel has raised a preliminary objection as to the maintainability of the writ petition at this stage on the ground that petitioner has an alternative efficacious remedy of revision before the competent authority under the relevant provisions of Uttar Pradesh Police Officers of the subordinate Ranks (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1991. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner could not dispute the above legal position. 5. In view of the above, while I decline to grant indulgence in the matter
