By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution petitioner has prayed for a writ of mandamus directed the respondents to pay the annual increment of 2024 to the petitioner. 3. It is argued on behalf of petitioner that petitioner's representation which is taken to be departmental appeal against the order imposing penalty of withholding one increment is pending consideration before respondent No.2, hence, the same may be directed to be disposed of in accordance with law. 4. Learned Standing Counsel does not have any objection in the event appeal of petitioner is directed to be disposed of by the respondent in accordance with law. 5. In view of the above this petition is disposed of with direction to the respondent No.2 to consider and dispose of the pending appeal of petitioner within a period of two months from the product
