By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, the petitioners have prayed for following relief: "(i) a writ of mandamus, commanding the Respondent Authorities, especially respondent no.5 to refix the pay/salary increment of the petitioners from 01.07.2016 instead of 01.01.2017 alongwith arrears, in accordance with law within short stipulated period. (ii) a writ, order of direction in the nature of mandamus directing/commanding to respondent authorities to pay all the arrears and increment benefits to the petitioners in accordance with law." 3. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that Inspector General of Police Establishment of U.P. Lucknow has already made a recommendation in the above regard to the Police Commissioner, Ghaziabad with certain directions to comply with the judgment of this Court dated 04.12
