This is an appeal against the judgment and order dated 05.08.2025 passed by the writ court in Writ - C No. 7252 of 2025; Ram Pratap Vs. State of U.P. and Ors. 3. The Gram Pradhan i.e. the private respondent herein challenged an order dated 15.07.2025 seizing his administrative and financial powers. The allegation against him was of having illegally occupied a building constructed on Gaon Sabha land. His defence was that the building was not constructed by him rather it was constructed by his father-in-law long back when he was not the Gram Pradhan and subsequently, on his death it devolved upon his wife and that is how he was in possession.
