The present appeal, filed under Section 19 of the Family Courts Act, 19841 read with Section 28 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 2 , arises from the Judgment dated 21.01.2023 3 passed by the learned Principal Judge, Family Court, Central District, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi 4, in HMA Petition No. 5861631/20165 (Old Number HMA Petition No. 192/2012), titled as „Aishwarya Pasricha vs. Puja Pasricha‟, whereby the marriage between the Appellant-Wife 1 FC Act 2 HMA 3 Impugned Judgement 4 Family Court 5 Petition Signature Not Verified Digitally Signed By:HARVINDER KAUR BHATIA MAT.APP.(F.C.) 138/2023 Page 1 of 32 Signing Date:17.09.2025 12:53:12 and the Respondent-Husband was dissolved on the ground of cruelty under Section 13(1)(ia) of the HMA. BRIEF FACTS: 2. The marriage between the Appellant and the Respondent was solemnized on 27.03.2007 in Delhi, according to Hindu rites and ceremonies. Out of this wedlock, a son, Aditya Pasricha, was born on 08.01.2008. However, matrimonial discord surfaced soon after the marriage. 3. According to the Respondent, the Appellant subjected the Respondent to cruelty during the subsistence of the marriage.
