This petition purportedly in public interest was filed by the petitioner seeking to stop the alleged illegal activities of private respondents over land in dispute and bring the same back to the original shape as per the revenue record, which is Khalihan, Nali, Chak Nali and Navin Parti i.e. public utility land. 2. The petition is pending for over about 13 years now, no response to the petition has been filed over the said period. 3. Looking to the nature of relief claimed in the petition, and the passage of time, filing of the Public Interest Litigation qua the subject matter has lost its efficacy.
