Goyal, A.C.S.C. Chief Justice's Court HON'BLE ARUN BHANSALI, CHIEF JUSTICE HON'BLE KSHITIJ SHAILENDRA, J. 1. This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioners seeking a direction against the respondents who are allegedly obstructing the development of Raj Rajeshwar Temple and take action against them. 2. A perusal of the petition indicates that there appears to be dispute pertaining to a private temple among the petitioners and respondent nos. 5 to 7. 3. Filing of a Public Interest Litigation in relation to a private dispute pertaining to a temple, requiring leading of evidence, cannot be adjudicated under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. 4. The petition is, therefore, dismissed, leaving it open for the petitioners to take appropriate proceedings in accordance with law.
