This petition purportedly in public interest has been filed by the petitioner, a practicing advocate, claiming himself to be a social activist and public spirited citizen, seeking a direction to the respondents for comprehensive report detailing the implementation status of the Criminal Procedure (Identification) Act, 2022 and the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023 in the State of Uttar Pradesh. 2. A perusal of the writ petition indicates that the same apparently has been filed by way of an academic exercise without there being any factual foundation and even without approaching the concerned authorities for the relief, which is sought in the present petition. 3.
