This petition purportedly in public interest has been filed by the petitioner claiming himself to be Secretary of the Samiti Waqf Karbala, seeking a direction to respondent nos. 2 & 3 not to interfere into the property of Karbala (registered before U.P. Sunni Central Waqf Board, Lucknow) situated at Gata No. 751 in Village Akbarpur Churai, Gram Panchayat Akbarpur Churai, Tehsil Khaga, District Fatehpur. 2. Once the claim made in the petition is that the property in question is registered with the U.P. Sunni Central Waqf Board, Lucknow, filing of a petition in the nature of public interest, cannot be countenanced. The authorities under the Waqf Act are competent enough to protect the property. 3.
