The present PIL has been filed praying for a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to ensure repair of a kharanja pathway in Village Kapoorpur, Gulampurwa, Block Jhanjhari, District Gonda, which connects Maa Kali Temple to Gulampurwa Chauraha. 2. The case of the petitioner is that the said pathway is in bad shape since a long time and the Gram Panchayat is making false commitments since several years that it would undertake its repair, but the repair work is not being carried out. 3. Sri Pankaj Gupta, Advocate, has appeared on behalf of the Gram Sabha (respondent no. 4) and he states on instructions that repair of the kharanja road in question has been included in the current budget. He states that the Gram Sabha has requisite funds under the MGNREGA Scheme and the repair work w
