The present writ petition has been filed for directions to respondents to allow the petitioner to inspect the batteries, which are lying in the impounding pits, and to cease its destruction and return the Lithium-ion batteries owned by the petitioner. 2. It is the case of the petitioner that they own 20 Lithium-ion batteries, which were given to certain E-rickshaw owners, which E-rickshaws were seized by the respondents, for being unregistered. It is also the case of the petitioner that the ownership of the batteries lies with the petitioner, which are duly certified and registered. Therefore, the respondents cannot destroy or seize the same. Furthermore, the petitioner had never received an opportunity to be heard or inspect the batteries of the petitioner, despite repeated requests to the respondents. 4.
