This writ petition has been filed for quashing of the First Information Report dated 7.8.2024 giving rise to F.I.R. No.4163 of 2024 under section 135-1(a) of the Electricity Act, 2003, Police Station Anti Power Theft P.S. Anti Power Theft, District Mathura. The petitioners have also prayed that they be not arrested in pursuance of the impugned FIR. 2. Contention of learned counsel for the petitioners is that the offence, as stated in the FIR, is compoundable and the petitioners are ready to apply for compounding the offence for which the FIR was lodged. Learned counsel, therefore, states that the petitioners would file an application before the authority concerned under section 152 of the Electricity Act. 3.
