The petitioner was commissioned in the Army Medical Corps1 on 27 December 1982. At the time of commissioning in the AMC, it is not in dispute that the petitioner was not recorded as suffering from any disability or ailment. 2. After serving the Armed Forces close for 34 years, the petitioner retired on 30 September 2016 in Low Medical Category2 A3P2. During her service and a little over two months prior to her retirement, the petitioner had suffered a fall. She was admitted to hospital, where she was found to be suffering from forgetfulness. The forgetfulness was aggravated owing to the fall. 4. The petitioner was assessed by a medical board, which assessed that she was suffering from Chronic Degenerative Disease4 of the central nervous system.
