The present PIL was registered by the Court on a letter dated 18.08.2020 written by the petitioner, an Advocate, pertaining to disappearance of one Shiv Kumar Trivedi from police custody since 13.02.2020. 3. Various orders were passed by the Court inter alia requiring the matter to be investigated and ultimately resulting in the State granting sanction for prosecution of certain police personnel with regard to the said disappearance. 4.
